The full app experience

Browsing at staira.app works fine in a browser tab, but the app is where Staira is meant to be used day to day:

Buy digital books without leaving the app — checkout happens in-app via Paystack
Download books for offline reading, encrypted on your device and tied to your account
The social feed — post, follow authors, and see what people are reading
Notifications for replies, follows, and purchases

Installing on Android

Download the file

Tap the download button above. The APK will save to your device, usually into your Downloads folder.

Allow installs from this source

Android will show a warning like "unsafe app blocked" or a Play Protect prompt. This appears for any app not installed through the Play Store — it isn't specific to Staira. Tap Settings in the prompt, then turn on "Allow from this source" for your browser.

Open and install

Go back to the downloaded file — from your notifications, or in your Downloads folder — and tap it. Tap Install, then Open once it finishes.

Updates

This build doesn’t auto-update. When a new version is available, check back on this page and download it again — installing the new APK over the existing app keeps your local data. If the install fails, uninstall the current app first, then install the new APK; you’ll need to sign back in afterward.
